“The first thing a Massai will ask you is if you believe in Nature. If you say yes, a conversation can begin. It is only when you believe that you can make things happen. The Massai are very gifted at planting seeds. Planting seeds that connect you to yourself - to your internal  guide, and to nature. There is a certain magic in this connection.”

— Lesse Laizer

Biographies

Cornelia Wallner-Frisse began her studies in business economics and a starting career in the financial world she quickly realized that economics was not her field and she went back to school to study medicine. This change of direction resulted in a wider shift of perspective. She discovered her passion to encounter different cultures and began the journey to her personal karmic past. She learned healing techniques of the ancestors of India, Tibet, the Andes and the Amazon, integrating the healing wisdom and medicine from all of these different sources into her healing practice. She never imagined she would pack up her children and end up living in Africa! For the last 15 years Cornelia has been living in Tanzania with people from the Maasai and Meru tribes. Learning from them, and also bringing medical and educational support to women and children in need. Through the running of the NGO, Africa Amini Alama, and working as a natural healer, shamanic practitioner, and medical doctor Cornelia learns from nature, and the people of Africa, and continues to grow with every challenge that passes her way. In addition to her work in Tanzania, Cornelia is also a founding Member of Shamans Directory.

Lesse Laizer is the manager of Africa Amini’s Original Maasai Lodge, an elegant, traditionally designed accommodation built and run by the Maasai. The lodge is an ideal location for those who are visiting Tanzania for respite, Safari, or to engage in Africa Amini’s many social projects. Lesse was born in the traditional Maasai village of Ngabobo, in Arusha Tanzania, not far in distance from where he now works, but through pursuing the English language and many years of formal education, his life made a quantum leap! Today, proficient in severe languages, Lesse not only manages the entire operation of the lodge, but travels the world as an ambassador for the lodge and the Maasai people at international events. Engaging with guests from around the globe both at the lodge and in his travels, Lesse sees himself as a bridge between cultures, while at the same time remaining fully connected to his Maasai blood. We are honored to have Lesse as a Member of Shamans Directory.
